Man Stabbed During HATEBREED Concert In Providence
July 25, 2003A man was stabbed during a HATEBREED concert Thursday night (July 24) at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in downtown Providence, Rhode Island, according to WPRI Fox Providence.
Two young men started fighting over a woman around 9:00 p.m. and one of them stabbed the other in the stomach with a folding knife.
The wound was minor, and the victim was treated at the scene.
The suspect took off but was caught a few blocks away.
Lupo's general manager said they were trying to prevent an incident like this from ever happening.
"[There was] a scuffle between a couple of guys, and one of them got sliced," said the manager, Jesse Blair. "We've been searching everybody that came in through the door. But it was a very small knife, and it got through."
The names of the people involved have not been released.
The suspect was arraigned this morning (July 25) on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
